Types of Implant Supported Restorations

  • Dental Implants Dental implants are specialized tooth restorations that can be done on one or more missing teeth. Implants consist of permanent anchors that integrate with the jawbone to provide secure, stable and long-lasting tooth replacement. Because dental implants become part of the jaw, they look and feel like natural teeth, allowing you to eat, talk and smile without worry.

  • Implant supported bridge – An implant supported bridge is used to bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. If your teeth are not healthy enough to support a traditional crown and bridge placement, or prefer a permanent dental implant, an implant supported bridge can be used.

  • Implant supported dentures – Implant supported dentures are an alternative to traditional dentures and are usually used for patients who have lost one or both of their arches of teeth due to a serious accident or periodontal disease. These dentures attach permanently to 4-6 dental implants, offering a natural appearance and functionality.

  • Implant supported partials - Implant supported partials are dentures used when one or more natural teeth remain in good health in the upper or lower jaw.
